Unifor Local 1285 formally known as Canadian Auto Workers Local 1285 represents over 7000 proud and active members helping to build a better community. We have been leaders in the struggle democracy and progress in Brampton and surrounding areas since 1961. In addition to gaining strength, we have grown rapidly, adding several units and building solidarity among our members. As our late past president, Terry Gorman, once said, 'It took many years to reach where we are today.
