We always enjoy Olive Garden even though there always seems to be a wait. This time, for lunch, the wait wasn't too long, and once we were seated, the service was quite satisfactory. We were a little disappointed in the salad - it is usually a highlight, but it was still okay.

The Sicilian Pasta Kitchen South was founded in 1995 by Vince and Connie Cultraro and after two successful years they decided to sell the south location to a group of staff that had worked for them for several years. This group has now run the Sicilian South since December of 1997, and guided the restaurant through an expansion and renovation in 2005, and we have just completed another large facelift in July of 2015. The Vern's Pizza Company Ltd. began in the year 1990 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The first store was operated out of a convenience store named Vern's Place. Vern's product was customer driven from the beginning. Our pizza is like no other, known for its high quality ingredients from start to finish. With the introduction of pizza by the slice as a meal in itself, the demand began to grow, and so did Vern's name. Soon thereafter it was necessary for the company to franchise. Vern's Pizza grew from its provincial borders and expanded into Alberta. We have two locations in Calgary now. One is in the south east at #27, 575-28th Street SE and the other is in the north west at #27, 15 Millrise Blvd SW. As our popularity continued to expand so did the number of stores and we have launched into Manitoba. For many years the cities in which we have a presence we are known for having the biggest and best pizza in town.
