Based on the reviews of this place, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is really small, probably only about 10 small tables. The servers are very kind and attentive. It was a tad confusing as we had about three different servers throughout our lunch. The sushi chefs were not very kind, they seemed a bit put out, as if they didn't enjoy where they were. The seaweed salad and miso soup are amazing! I loved the way they decorated the plate for the seaweed salad, very cute! The sushi was really good, it came out quickly and it tasted delicious. I highly recommend the K-Rock roll, it is deep-fried to perfection! The only thing is that the K-Rock roll is about $12.95, but for eight pieces, it isn't too bad. Our total came out to $83 for four people, a tad pricey but, we polished all of the sushi, it was that good! I highly recommend this place, not only is the food good, the servers are very kind. Decent clean food, HUGE portions. Really nice qulity food but we were rushd to put our order in. Nevertheless, we enjoyed take out and will return for seconds and thirds. By comparitive standards, this place is excellent in this small city and the food is comparable to what you will find in a big city like Montreal or Kingston. Tasty but a wee bit expensive. Oh and ONE plate is large enough for two people.

A couple of friends and I went in for dinner about a week ago. As soon as we sat down the waitress was over to take our drink orders. We all decided to get the special of roasted chicken with a mushroom sauce, it was absolutely to die for. The portions were large and potatoes and green beans were cooked to perfection.
For dessert we shared a pumpkin creme brulee between the three of us. It was so decadent.

First time there recently with my boyfriend. Had a $10 gift card that we received in the mail from them. You save $10 if you spend $30 and it was good on weekends. We walked in and the place was very busy. But we asked for a booth and got one right away. The waitress was very nice and took good care of us. The food arrived within minutes. The food was amazing! Manager checked in with us twice to make sure everything was good. Would definitely recommend to others.

We arrived in Kingston for a hockey tournament and searched for a restaurant that was able to accommodate a group of 40, half of which were kids. The owner together with his staff welcomed our team and did an amazing job. The kids had a great time, the service was the best we've seen from any east side Mario's, and they did a great job on the food. Hats off to the staff and the owner for going above and beyond! We'll be back for sure.
