The food always seems to be good in my experience here. I typically order pulled pork poutine (very good, unique), burgers, wraps, etc. I've never been disappointed during my somewhat extended history of visiting the pub.
The decor is very busy, typical of brit pubs here, and the service is friendly and timely, not overbearing.
Food waiting times are suitable and I've never heard anyone in my party of regulars complain of flat beer, dirty glasses, or hair in their food, as other reviews here indicate.
They do have a patio, albeit small and fills up fairly quickly during lunch hour or immediately after work.Read more

The Shepherd's Crook is a traditional pub-restaurant. It's a place to meet friends and have a chat - and there's no television set to distract you from the craic. We serve good food, for good value. There are daily lunch and dinner specials to supplement the menu. Nineteen draught taps pour only microbrews - we have one pull handle for cask-conditioned 'real ale' - and imports.
I had driven by this downtown georgetown pub many times without even noticing it was there, so when a friend suggested we go in for a few beers, I was surprised that I hadn't heard of this place before!
The beer list was mostly new to my eyes. They offer a huge selection of local microbreweries, which are surprisingly delicious! We ordered the fish and chips as we sipped on beer that had been brewed no more than 40 km from where we were sitting. The food took a bit of time, but this is definitely no fast food restaurant.... The fish, which we were told was freshly beer battered in the kitchen, was the best we'd ever tried. This would not be my last visit.
After coming in for the past year, I've noticed that this pub is at times understaffed, service can be delayed due to volume, but this is also a place to come and take your time. Don't come in expecting to have a quick meal in time to make a movie...This pub was created for people to come in and forget about the hustle bustle of their day to day lives!Read more
We live around the corner from here, so we visit a lot. I know there's a review on here about regulars...but there was a time when we were NOT regulars and there's a reason we kept coming back!
The wings are second to none, and you can't beat the price. The service is fantastic, regardless of which girl you get. They're all friendly and efficient.
My wife gets the club wrap just about every time, though we've had most things on their menu. The menu may be limited, but it's a PUB, not a restaurant. If there's one thing I wouldn't recommend, I'd say the onion rings. That said, they still seem to be a hit...just not a fan of the batter. Other than that, have at it!Read more

Please contact us for details. What are Tapas? From Wikipedia: 'Tapas are a wide variety of appetizers, or snacks, in Spanish cuisine. They may be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as chopitos, which are battered, fried baby squid). In select bars in Spain, tapas have evolved into an entire, and sometimes sophisticated, cuisine. In Spain, patrons of tapas can order many different tapas and combine them to make a full meal. The serving of tapas is designed to encourage conversation because people are not so focused upon eating an entire meal that is set before them.'Tapas are not 'all you can eat' or buffet-style - all of our dishes priced individually and are prepared fresh to order. Public's meats, fruits, and veggies are locally sourced from farmers we have come to know and trust through our combined experience in the restaurant industry
