Come savor a delicious creation at Williams Fresh Cafe. Come sit at the bar with a refreshment and can even enjoy the sunlight on their terrace. You can get there not only by car but also by public transit.
Williams is essentially an expanded coffee house, that offers food which is edible, but not great. But, that is to be expected, as no one would go here expecting fine dining. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, service is quick and the place seems to be clean. Being right across from McMaster, it is often full of students, many who come to study, and staff doesn't seem to mind.
Williams does have a large variety of dessert offerings, from great cakes to fresh waffles and various icecream desserts. A great place for coffee and dessert!Read more

The order bar is at the front door. Lots of warm colours with smiling faces that are always patient and help full. For those that can't make up their minds your not hurried or rushed to make purchases. There are exceptions of course. The atmosphere is roomy, with enough space between tables for privacy.
If your order is not ready at purchase point then the staff will bring it to you with out the feeling that you need to tip again if you did. Great seating with leather couches. Chairs and tables are far enough apart to have reasonably private conversation. The patio is overlooking the Bay. Hope that you like birds. Parking is walking distance or one minute from entrance. I liked that you are left alone, you don't have to be on your game, you can be friendly or not, depending on the person.Read more

Historic building that is supposedly haunted, real pub feel, good vibe, friendly servers. Has a large and really cool cobble stone court yard patio that feels like you're sitting in the 1800's.
I don't eat here alot but the food is good, wings, nachos and standard pub fare.
The owners Marco and Angelo are class acts and always take the time to personally welcome regular customers back.

The Brassie is a great place to go with a group of friends. Personally, I go on Tuesdays for the Trivia Night and have a great time, even though the competition is pretty stiff. Often times there are 10 or more teams and the place is full, so the service leaves something to be desired, and even when its not busy there are often mix-ups with orders (usually minor). The quality of the food has really improved over the last year or so and the price is comparable to other pubs in the area. As long as you don't come on Tuesday, you can usually count on a table for a larger group (6 or more).Read more
I've been coming here for years having lived only 3 minutes away. This is a true diamond in the rough. Not a fancy place by far but the chicken wings are the best in town. Go on there mon or tues .40 cent wing night's and you will be pleased. Order them grilled. Great place to watch a leaf game and drink a pitcher of beer with wings.Read more
