The term 'relaxed and comfortable environment' could provoke visions of people sitting on couches, sharing a few appetizers with soft music in the background. Such a scene exists at 'My Place', but isn't the only thing you can hope to experience, especially if you find yourself there on karaoke night, later on DJ nights, or in the middle of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Relaxed and comfortable can mean so many things- staff that treat everyone like valued regular customers; food that can satisfy the way home-cooked can; a sense of community in which everyone is safe and happy. You can relax and be having the time of your life though, and that is exactly what the owner and staff and 'My Place' are offering the clientele. Affordable comfort food, with a twist; Old friends and new- someone to dance with, sing with, or just sip a martini with; the classic drinks or a new martini for the special occasion. Expect the best, but best to expect the unexpected.

I always like this place and especially enjoy their Sunday brunch. I would not label their food as gastronomic, but it is always wholesome and not expensive. They have been around for years. Long may they continue.Read more
Southern-style barbecue dripping with flavour rules at this Beach newcomer, the standstill evolution of its wildly popular barbecue-on-wheels predecessor. Here, chefs Carey Valentine and Scott Fraser take enthusiastic customers on a ride through the expansive wonders of smoking, grilling and saucing with stops along the way at pulled pork, brisket and baby back ribs meaty enough to shame a caveman. Everything is cooked a long time here, but your patience pays off in spades. Guests dig in with both hands, their collection of spent napkins growing in direct relation to their enjoyment of the meal.
The Lion on the Beach is located a short distance from Toronto's beach community. It is an intimate, clean pub with a large menu and several seating options including two patios. Our prices are competitive, starting with our bestselling burger and fries a
Lion on the Beach is great place to relax, drink and eat. The food to date has always been delicious and scores high points in presentation and originality. While it is the disguise as regular pub fare, it would appear to be more tantilizing than one would have expected.
The atmosphere is soothing and fun much like the rest of the beaches. The services can be a bit irradict due to overflow of customers but has always been exceptional. The one draw back on the services comes from one particular bartender who has forced me to go on painkillers due to making me smile so hard that my face hurts.
