Ruby Lake has a mean depth of 171 ft and is home to Kokanee and Cutthroat Trout. Spring fall and winter are the best fishing months. The coastal cutthroat is a beautiful trout easily distinguishable from its interior cousin or the rainbow trout. All cutthroats have large mouths and a maxillary that extends back past the back of the eye.
