Suzanne Turnbull graduated with her BSc.OT in 1987. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist primarily with children. She has served on Central Vancouver Island in Nanaimo (Nanaimo Child Development Centre), Parksville/Qualicum (SD #69 Family Resource Association Early Intervention Team), Ladysmith (Nutsumaat Lelum) and Port Alberni (Outreach Therapy). Her further studies and OT volunteer work with children have taken her to Barbados, Haiti, Trinidad and Mexico. Her passion is to help make changes for children through parent education, treatment, team collaboration and consultation. She strives to keep up-to-date on the latest treatment techniques and holds certifications in Neurodevelopmental Treatment and SIPT (Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests). Regional and provincial park signs will lead you from Highway 19 to the parks. From Highway 19, take the Horne Lake Road exit (#75), drive inland to Horne Lk Caves Road, turn right and follow the north shore of the Lake all the way to the Regional and Provincial parks. It is about 13 kilometres from the Highway to the Parks; the road is mainly gravel with some narrow blind corners and is actively used by logging trucks seven days a week. Please, drive with your headlights on and obey the traffic and speed limit signs.
