Artisan Roaster.
We start by sourcing the best tasting and freshest 100% Arabica Fair Trade coffee beans available from growers who practice responsible land stewardship and bio-friendly farming techniques. Green bean shipments are received several times per week, and coffee is roasted fresh daily.
Overseen by Alex, Montana's Master Roaster, our process is deceptively simple: tasting, grading, blending, roasting and colour grading. However, the expertise and subtleties behind this process develop a wide variety of naturally distinct coffees. Aroma, flavour, body, intensity, texture, acidity... these are the instruments that Alex plays with to create an experience of symphonic proportions.
Alex's ability to roast exceptionally fine tasting coffees sets him apart from many other roasters. His senses of smell and taste guide his formulations and roasting technique to fine-tune and perfect Montana's creations.

Victor & Marcel decided to move their well established antique business to the quiet hamlet of Williamsburg in the early winter of 1989. Seeking to combine both residential & commercial quarters, the present building loaned itself to both these scenarios. The main floor had previously been used as living quarters and the second story had housed a Masonic temple since turn of the 20th century and would make for a great showroom. However, it (the building) was vacant and had been so for some time. It was in desperate need of a lot of T.L.C. and major renovations.

I was surprised at how delightful the atmosphere was, very bright but not too open (which is nice.) Lovely decor and tables, music was right up my alley. I was welcomed quickly and offered tea which I never had this time but still enjoyed the tea experience with my lunch which was soup of the day (and today's soup was sweet potato) I found a taste familiar and asked what it was and got the reply it was cardamon spice among others. Very pleasant. If you're looking for a huge meal this wouldn't be the place to go but great for brunch and light eaters like myself. I shall be back again time after time I'm sure.Read more
