The cottages are celebration of good times, friendship and shared achievement. We like to think the spirit of the venture is captured in the walls and hope you laugh and smile in the cottages just as much as we did building them for you. Owner John Guy moved across the water from Nova Scotia in 1980. As his career took him across the world he wanted a project to keep him connected to home.

Our mission is to preserve and promote the heritage of the community and the region through the development and operation of educational focused facilities. We endeavor to preserve and maintain a traditional historic fishing village while enhancing it's profile and appeal. We intend to accomplish our goals by developing projects that provide the opportunity for everyone to experience coastal Newfoundland, both in a hands on manner and in a more historical museum type manner.

It was true when Coastal Paving first opened in 1982, and it's just as true today.Back then the company was in a small one-room office in San Jose's historic Willow Glen District. From just a tiny street-front office, Coastal Paving, Inc. offered its clients the best asphalt paving services around. The name inspired by Cliff Heaps' love for boating, the beach and the marinas of Huntington Harbor which he had left a few months earlier.
