bioBUILD – an acronym for Building Urban Industries for Local Development – is a social enterprise non-profit contractor and a training program for people who face barriers to employment.We retrofit homes with insulation and high-efficiency toilets as well as water-and-energy-saving devices (showerheads, CFLs, etc). Aboriginal people in Winnipeg have a future of increased economic prosperity and self-determination. Our GoalsTo provide quality adult education, post-secondary education, trades training, daycare facilities, and student transitional housing as needed.- To provide employment and education services to approximately 2,400 people per annum.- To place an average of 1,200 people yearly in successful employment.- To train 500 people per annum.- To continue to meet or to exceed our vision, our mandate and our goals on a yearly basis.
