Skinner Bros Contracting Ltd has deep roots in Fort Nelson. It's a second generation company that was started as a general contracting company by Skinner parents, Dennis and Patricia. It has since grown into one of the largest transport companies in Northern British Columbia. The family moved from Toronto to Fort Nelson in 1979 and D. Skinner Enterprises was established as a general contracting company which included D.L Plumbing and Heating. Both Glenn and Dean worked with the company from the start - servicing and maintaining camps in the oil patch - familiarizing themselves with the oil and gas industries. Today Skinner Bros.
