What is being referred to as the aging process is the normative developmental changes over a life span. In childhood, we learn the security of dependence and socialization. During youth, we experience an introspective, egocentric time and develop our sense of identity through relationships, skills, knowledge, physicality and independence. Young Adulthood is where we cement our identity, develop beliefs, friends, families and/or career.
