My husband and I had the pleasure to dine in at the Logpile and we very much enjoyed our experience. The views were beautiful, the food was great, and the setting was very comfortable. A few months after we had gotten married, and we stayed there on our wedding night. It was so beautiful. Both experiences there were well worth the money we spent. I would much rather spend a few extra $$ and have a great time, than get cheap service, cheap food, in a cheap place. The owners were very personable and very cheerful. Thanks to them for making it so memorable.

We are located in Smithers in northcentral British Columbia, Canada and have been building quality log homes since 1974. In order to maintain the quality of work in our log shells we take on a limited number of projects each year and we, partners Dennis and Wes, carry out the fitting of the logs ourselves. We have a small crew to assist us in preparing the raw logs for scribing and sawing. We custom build to any plan you have. We will provide you with a free estimate based on your plan. We fit our logs using saddle notches and scribed lateral grooves. We incorporate, where appropriate, log post-and-timber features in our log shells. We have built structures ranging in complexity from a 12,000 sq. ft. guest to a remote hiking and ski cabin that was assembled by helicopter.

We strive to build high quality log homes that are one of a kind. We keep up with the latest changes in log home trends, but only using the changes that best suit our company. We are the only company we know of that offers hand scribed-mover size logs with a flat wall inside - round log on the outside with a dovetail corner. We use the latest methods such as the overscribe to allow for shrinkage _ in the log walls. We also use staple in foam gasket in the lateral groove which greatly increases value.
