Craft Council of British Columbia is a charitable arts service organization which supports all stages of artistic practice in the craft sector; creates opportunities for artists to exhibit, sell and produce art; provides a voice for artists and craft organizations and aids in the development of active communities around craft. The CCBC Shop & Gallery showcases the works of over 400 member artists from across BC, as well as exhibitions featuring innovative contemporary craft artists.

Since 1973 we have been making craft more significant in the cultural life of British Columbians and Canadians. Through our public gallery and social enterprise shops on Granville Island,and at the Vancouver Airport Crafthouse, we exhibit and interpret contemporary objects in ceramic, glass, fiber, metal and wood that honor innovation in art, craft and design and celebrate materials and processes.

Our mission is to showcase internationally acclaimed and esteemed artists who represent a contemporary expression of beauty and values in the modern age. Their original canvases offer a new sense of perception of the stories of life itself as well as a reflection of the values of the viewers themselves.

Established in 1925, and based in Vancouver, BC, Emily Carr University of Art + Design one of Canada's premier, post-secondary universities specializing in undergraduate and graduate art and design education and research. Our four-year Undergraduate Degrees in art and design merge critical theory with studio practice.
