Through the use of appropriate guidance, Petits Genies offers a safe, enriching and educational environment for children. The program is based on Reggio Emilia and Montessori. We offer most of our curriculum in French. We emphasize the education of the whole child, spiritual, mental, physical, and psychological. This education is based on the principle of respect, responsibility and community. We have a schedule for each day; however we believe that being flexible with kids will help them to be more creative and productive. Our activities are mostly based on their interest. The education offered is based on the needs of children, believing that this will lead to meeting the needs of society. We are considered as co-learner, collaborator and then instructor. Most of the materials are academically oriented; however, we do not force a child to participate in an activity that he or she is not interested.

The Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC is a registered society, incorporated under the Society Act on November 2, 1995. The original child care advocacy organization, the BC Daycare Action Coalition, was formed in 1982. To promote and support quality community-based child care services that benefit children, families and the public and in the best interests of society.

Educating children since 1997. For convenience, we have two locations in Burnaby, one coming soon to Coquitlam. We provide care for children ages 30 months to 5 years, as well as before and after school care servicing Nelson Elementary School. We provide an integrated curriculum based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s proven philosophy and principles. Each child is guided by certified professionals in a self-directed learning environment that fosters independence, responsibility, respect for others, and a love of learning. Additionally we include; healthy snacks, weekly French classes where the children are exposed to basic French language, weekly Music classes, as well as weekly yoga classes carried out by a certified yoga instructor.
