North Surrey Minor Football is a non-profit association that is run completely by volunteers. The goal of our association is to provide a safe and structured opportunity for youth to learn competitiveness and fair play through being aware of the rules and good sportmanship in either football or cheerleading. We are a located out of Bear Creek park in the north end of Surrey B.C. North Surrey Minor Football is part of the Vancouver Mainland Football League consisting of teams all over the lower mainland as well as Vancouver Island. Lower mainland teams are located as far west as Richmond and Vancouver east to Aldergrove. As well there are teams located from Coquitlam down to South Delta and Tsswassen. Games are mostly Sundays with the occasional mid-week game at night and practices are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The season starts the beginning of July and runs through to mid-November with playoffs going into early December. North Surrey football has football teams at all levels of minor football. These start at the flag level (ages 6-7) where the kids play a nine man non contact ball. Next we have Atom (ages 8-9) where the kids play full contact ball but again with only nine players on the field. From there the kids play the full 12 man ball from Peewee (ages 10-11), Junior Bantam (ages 12-13), Bantam (ages 14-15) up to and including Midget (ages 16-18). As well we have an excellent cheerleading program the also involves kids from the ages of six up to eighteen. These are grouped into ages of Atom (6-8 year olds), Peewee (9-11 year olds), Jr. Bantam (12-14 year olds) and Seniors (15-18 year olds). The executive of the club is elected once a year during the annual general meeting and other positions on the board are appointed. We hold monthly meetings at the club house and invite all members to attend and catch up with the day to day business of the football club.

Victor Bouzide founded Nuba in 2003 with a desire to spread the goodness of his grandmother's cooking. He did this in a small 15-seat restaurant on Hastings Street which served our now famous plates and pita wraps.
We chose this location as it served both brunch and lunch options on Sundays and it takes reservation through OpenTable. We tried the breakfast manouche, lamb sausage with poached eggs and lamb kafta. Both were very good and flavorful. Their daily juice special was made with fresh ginger and it gave it a nice kick. The service was good and the lower level of the restaurant was full. Lots of pay street parking else park a few blocks away where there are no meters in the residential surroundings.Read more
