We are first and foremost a display and hybridizing garden, with our hybridizing efforts taking a lot of our time (next to weeding of course!). We have been honored over the years with several awards, starting with the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board’s award for Best Large Garden in the early 90s. We became the first national display garden recognized for daylilies in Canada by the American Hemerocallis Society, started the first Canadian daylily club in 1991 and I became the first certified Canadian judge for daylilies by the AHS. To date, we have over 60 hybrids of our own creation - plants borne right here in Langley that are now making their way around the world. Lordco Parts Ltd. was incorporated in August 1974 by its two founding members, Roy Lord and Ed Coates. A simple combination of their surnames gave the company its name, and they hired one employee to help them in their modest 900 square foot store in Maple Ridge, B.C.From the beginning, the two shareholders agreed that success would only come through a diligent, common sense approach to selling automotive parts. Knowledgeable salespeople selling quality merchandise, backed by a commitment to service wouldn't create instant success, but would give them a fighting chance to make it in the long run.The formula would prove to be the right one. As the business gathered momentum, plans for the first expansion were developed. In 1976, a large site was purchased in Maple Ridge, and new, larger facilities were built. Today, it still houses the Corporate Head Office and Fleet Maintenance complex. To support its commitment to service, Lordco also purchased a local machine shop in order to offer more complete automotive solutions to its customers.Next came expansion to Mission, B.C. and before the decade was over, Lordco had become a major supplier of automotive parts on the north side of the Fraser River. The plan remained to grow at a controlled rate, and the two owners continued to reinvest their profits in order to strengthen the company.

Last Door Recovery Society provides world renowned quality long-term residential in-patient Adolescent Addiction Treatment for youths 14 to 18 years of age and Adult Addiction Treatment for males 19 and over, providing alcohol rehab, substance abuse and drug treatment. The residential aspects of our Youth Addiction Treatment Program and Adult Addiction Treatment Program are gender specific to males while the Family Program and Transitional Living aspects are designed to facilitate both genders and all ages.

No matter what the season is, a tiny bit of comfort can go a long way to making someone's day more satisfying.We felt that creating an old-world, countryside ambience in our locations - through earth tones, natural finishes and materials - would harken back to a simpler time. We hope we've achieved that in some small way and trust that all those who come here experience Burgoo's essence.
