Ben van der Gracht is from the southern interior of British Columbia. He grew up in Princeton and Grand Forks. He attended Okanagan University College in Kelowna and earned a Bachelor's Degree in the Arts, with a Major in Anthropology, in 2003. He completed Law School at the University of British Columbia in 2009. Ben spent 3 ½ years teaching English in South Korea, and during that time travelled extensively in East and Southeast Asia. He married a South Korean woman.
Leigh moved to Kamloops from Saskatchewan in 1981 immediately after graduation from law school. Drawn to the majesty of the BC Interior and all that it has to offer he quickly became a known local skier at Sun Peaks and spent his spare time on a mountain bike, on the golf course or in the hills and mountains throughout the Interior.
Rachel was born and raised in Ontario’s Niagara Region and moved to British Columbia in 1994. She obtained a BA in Psychology and Criminology in 2000 from Simon Fraser University and her Law Degree in 2004 from the University of Windsor. Rachel joined the Firm as an articling student in 2004 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005.
Lori practices solely in the area of family law. She is a native Kamloopsian. After completing law school at the University of Victoria, Lori returned to Kamloops and articled with Morelli Chertkow (then known as Morelli Chertkow Griffiths & Hogg). After articles Lori spent several years in the East Kootenay city of Cranbrook before returning to her home town.
Scott has, from the time of his youth in Kamloops, always been involved in giving back to his community. He coached both boys and girls soccer, at the recreational, high school and Rep level over thirty years. He has also coached boys and girls basketball. He has looked to help those less fortunate in our community - as a past director of the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism Society; as a past director of the Kamloops Society for Community Living; and through the Kamloops Kiwanis House Society helping those who suffer from alcoholism and addiction.
Elizabeth was raised in Kamloops and returned after practicing in Vancouver and Vernon for a number of years. She remembered what Kamloops offered her when she was growing up and wanted to provide those same opportunities to her growing family. She and her husband have raised three children in the community and over the years, took full advantage of everything the City and the surrounding areas have to offer.
Christopher currently practices in general litigation. He successfully completed his articles in-house at a major crown corporation and was called to the Bar in May 2016.
Ryan practices primarily in the areas of family law, personal injury, and civil litigation. Originally from Edmonton, Ryan completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology at the University of Alberta and his law degree from the University of Victoria. During his studies, he participated in the University of Victoria Co-Op Program and gained legal experience working with a number of private law firms and government departments.
