Gemma whelbourn creates highly detailed pet and wildlife portraits using coloured pencils and acrylic paints. Gemma is able to draw all manner of creatures with some of her most popular being dogs, cats, horses, moose, birds, and a large array of small pets.

Je suis une artiste peintre, je me spécialise dans l'abstrait, mon medium est la peinture acrylique avec encre, pastelle, fusain, graphite, papier et tout plein de matériaux qui attire mon attention. J'aboutis avec ces outils et mon insatiable curiosité a explorer pour mon plus grand plaisir des effets nouveaux au fur et a mesure que se produisent mes déclics visuelles de formes et de couleurs, cette magie inattendue me passionne dans ma création car elle surprend tout en laissant transparaitre mon plaisir et ma libération devant ma toile ou elle prend ma naissance. Mon art est moderne et contemporain car il est imprévisible, spontané et libérateur de mes émotions, rien n'est organisé ou programmé dans ma démarche artistique, mes choix se font à chaque instant.
