After many years of providing services to soldiers, veterans, and police officers, the diagnosis and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and somatization (where stress shows up as body symptoms like pain, fatigue or poor concentration) have become two areas of specialty. I believe it is central to have a very good understanding of what you are facing before you can take the steps to change. Because of past experience working with neurologically-impaired people, assisting patients and their families adjust to life after a brain injury or illness is also a longstanding area of interest. Besides these more specialized areas, I also provide therapy aimed at helping people cope with more general issues of anxiety, mood and relationships.
