Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries has 10 locations throughout the GTA. Aside from our funeral and burial services, we provide a place for people in the community to walk, jog or bike as well as honour deceased loved ones. Each cemetery in Toronto and the surrounding areas offers its own unique attributes. We provide entombment in an above-ground mausoleum or crypt, cremation and ash burial, urns and monuments.
Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery offers personalized funeral and cemetery services all in one location. Our chapel comfortably seats 200 guests. We also offer 2 large visitation suites as well as an outdoor patio and a reception space which accommodates 125. We gladly provide in-house catering for families that choose to host a reception. The funeral home is also entirely on one level, making it easy to navigate and completely wheelchair accessible. There are 80 parking spaces on-site. Our 64-acre cemetery grounds feature natural landscape and sparkling ponds. Commemorating the opening of the Funeral Home in 1991, Forest Lawn created the Wall of Memories, a beautiful granite wall inscribed with the names of loved ones to be remembered for years to come. Together, everything at Forest Lawn makes for a quiet, peaceful place for loved ones to gather and reminisce. Toronto Hebrew Memorial Parks is unique in its origins as a community-owned organization. It exists to serve the Jewish Community of Greater Toronto by fulfilling obligations of establishing and maintaining cemeteries through the provision of professional administration and ongoing supervision, while showing respect for the Community’s beliefs and practices.
Burial in a Catholic cemetery is an affirmation of the Christian faith. The Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese, operated on behalf of all parishes, exercise a ministry of service that continues uninterrupted since 1855. We are guided by the Catholic Church, the Archdiocese of Toronto and the needs of those we serve. Catholic Cemeteries offer a comforting atmosphere in which our Catholic Faith is celebrated and love for family and friends is remembered. A selection of burial services is available including ground burial, mausoleum crypt entombment, cremation as well as monuments and markers. Cemetery office hours are from Monday to Saturday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. To serve you better a cemetery counsellor can be available weekday evenings by request and subject to availability. York Cemetery And Visitation Centre is part of the Mount Pleasant Group Funeral Centres and Cemeteries, serving North York and neighbours since 1948. Our members speak a multitude of languages to accommodate the diversity of our community and our services include interment choices for ground burial or cremation, as well as a Veterans' section and a Garden of Remembrance. Our visitation centre includes a chapel and reception location.
