JobLinks Employment Centre is located in downtown Lethbridge and offers pre-employment and employment services to Albertans 15 years of age and older who have barriers/disabilities that may be preventing them from finding and maintaining successful employment. Established in 1984, Lethbridge Laser Publishing Ltd. was the first to offer much more reasonable typesetting rates than did printers, utilizing the first desktop publishing system to operate in Lethbridge. Throughout the years, as technology keeps changing, more equipment has been added to that initial Apple computer and laser printer system. Work throughout the years has been saved - forms, family histories, reports, business cards, etc. - offering quick and easy access for revision and reprinting. Initial owners, Sharon and Peter Vanderhilt, are still here offering friendly, personalized service to every aspect of their business.

Pro Plant Care Ltd. is a Lethbridge, Alberta based interior plantscape company offering tropical plant programs to business clients. Serving Lethbridge since 1992, it is owned and operated by Lesley Colburn-Swartz. Lesley was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and lived in many cities across Canada. In 1989, she graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia receiving her Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Management and Marketing specialization. Lesley has made Lethbridge her home since 1990 when she began her career in Human Resources working for the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel and then the Green Acres Foundation, two of the bigger employers in the city at the time. In 1992, the opportunity presented itself to Lesley to start a business of her own when she was asked to look after the plants at a Chiropractor's office; because of her love of greenery she jumped at the chance and Pro Plant Care was born. Pro Plant Care has grown from a single employee operation to 5 permanent positions and 2 casual positions year round. Pro Plant Care hires additional staff for the exterior landscaping division, which started in 1999. Since Pro Plant Care's inception, Lesley married Ron Swartz and had twin girls, Katherine and Caroline. Lesley has the distinction of being Alberta's first Canadian Nursery Landscape Association's Certified Interior Horticultural Technician and Southern Alberta's only certified technician. This certificate is recognized internationally.
