We stayed in a one bedroom condo suite and were very pleased. It was immaculately clean, very modern, and spacious. The staff were extremely accomodating and pleasant. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I would highly recommend a stay at the Georgian Manor.Read more

SCOREGolf magazine in 2008 called BlackHorse one of the top new courses in Ontario and one of the best golf values in the province. London Free Press golf writer John Herbert ranked it as the Best Public Course in Southwestern Ontario with the Best Greens. The 6,836yard track east of Kincardine and west of Walkerton/Wingham and north of Lucknow has sensational bentgrass greens and tees, impeccably cared for fairways and a stunning layout. Two holes carved out of a former gravel pit are among the most spectacular, offering dramatic views and the challenge of playing around a 5acre springfed lake. The course has 6 ponds, 50 bunkers and a minimum of 4 sets of tees on every hole. BlackHorse is tucked away in a quiet rural setting about an hours drive from Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and Owen Sound a bit more from London, Sarnia and Orangeville. Play it once and youll understand why its getting rave reviews. The facility offers a stateoftheart 30 acre practice range featuring all turf tees
The initial curling stones in 1962 were hand me downs left by curlers at the coliseum and/or the horse and cattle pavilion. A second set of used curling stones were purchased from the Stratford Curling Club for $2000.00 in the summer of 1963. These rocks remained in use at our club until we purchased a complete new set of curling stones and handles in October 1985. President Wayne Connolly ordered 64 matched Ailsa Craig trefor granite curling stones with blue honed inserts from Fred Veale at the Canada Curling Stone Company located in Komoka, Ontario. As well, a new plastic header was installed at this point in time.
