Old Glenora is one of the best known residential neighbourhoods in Edmonton. It features many of the more beautiful historic homes in the city, and has also been experiencing residential infill consistently over past decades, making this neighbourhood an interesting study in residential architectural forms in Edmonton over the past century
The community employs a fulltime Public Works Employee, a fulltime Community Administrative Officer, a certified parttime Water Operator, a Community Constable, a parttime Recreation Director, and a Rink Operator. Volunteer Fire DepartmentWaterhen has its own volunteer Fire Department. Approximately 20 volunteer Fire Fighters are with the department, who do ongoing training twice monthly under the direction of Fire Chief John Mark Taylor.Waterhen currently owns 1 fire truck, and 1 rescue and water tanker truck.
Camperville is located on the west shore of Lake Winnipegosis. The northern boundary of the community is formed by Pine Creek First Nation and the eastern boundary by the lake of Winnipegosis. To the southwest, the community is bordered by the rural municipality of Mountain. Camperville is about 37 km east by road from Cowan, and 51 km north of Winnipegosis.

Duck Bay is a community located in the Canadian province of Manitoba, along the western shores of Lake Winnipegosis. It was established at the turn of the century as a Hudson's Bay Company trading post, and is named after the bay on which it is situated. A gravel road to nearby Camperville, Manitoba was completed in 1952.The primary industries of the community are fishing, trapping and some agriculture. The Duck Bay wharf provides berthing for 15-20 skiffs and 3-5 whitefish vessels. There are 10-15 boats regularly fishing from Duck Bay's harbour, with approximately 50 fishermen in total from local and surrounding areas.
