Out with the old, in with the new computersCommunication, Information, and Technology (CIT) had a busy summer imaging and installing new computers, adjusting and creating user accounts, performing security scans of all servers, and building and installing new servers for the 7 rollout schools . CIT also continued daily operations of the service desk and website support services, as usual. Filing frenzyThe administrative assistants and students spent the summer swimming in paper. They dived into 20,000 files that have been in storage for years, finding some that were a century old, and sorted them neatly away in boxes to send for retention or disposal.Putting the care in caretakingThe division's 70 caretakers spent the summer preparing for the new year by doing maintenance that they can't get to during the regular school year, like stripping and waxing floors. Summer students helped out by cutting the grass, cleaning up the yards, and helping to move furniture for schools under renovation.Books, books, and more booksThe division office was busy this summer.
