The Principal of the firm, Ms Blair Girtel, graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Manitoba in 1985. In 1990, Blair Girtel was awarded the NCIDQ designation (North American certification) from the National Council for Interior Designers. Blair has also accumulated a great deal of professional design experience in Personal Living Spaces where she has assisted residential clients with customized house plans, major home renovations and professional decorating advice. Recently, she provided extensive interior design services in relation to a 50 unit strata development, including the design and furnishing of a display suite. Ms Girtels design experience also includes specialty projects such as the interior design of a 118 foot yacht and the conversion of a highway bus into a luxurious motor home. Blair taught a course entitled retail design and merchandising for 7 years & she has been the recipient of a number of design awards in recognition of her design.

Green Design We encourage clients to consider and explore the use of natural, sustainable materials and systems in renovation and new construction, We can assist you in reviewing the options available. There are many ways we can start to make a difference: re-thinking what our real needs are, designing spaces for more effective use of our time and resources, restoring and re-using existing features and furnishings, choosing healthier, low VOC finishes, creative use of recycled and local materials, and purchasing fewer things of finer, longer-lasting quality. Interior design is about visual and spatial problem solving. We enjoy creative design with beautiful finishes, yet it's working with people that makes it worthwhile.
