I love shopping at the Independant, EVERYONE, from those that stock the shelves, to those on cash, and everyone in between, are so friendly, polite and courteous it’s ALL done with a smile. I stopped in here on a whim. The owners are lovely people, and were very welcoming. Proper COVID 19 safety efforts were in place and the person who helped me was wearing a mask. The food was fresh, flavourful and filling. It made me smile and dance! The type of food that makes you feel comforted and whole again. Will be back for shopping and more takeaway. Many thanks!

This store is excellent. Staff always there to help, one can buy smaller portions of Vegetables and fruits instead of packed amounts wrapped by the store. Personally, I would not shop anywhere else in Whitby. , congratulations to the owners for running such an outstanding business, Myrla Sanderson
