Hazel Trego created Pacifica Counselling and Consulting Services in 1992, after completing an M.A. In Counselling Psychology with the Adler School of Professional Psychology. Hazel belongs to the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors, adheres to their standards of practice and ethical guidelines and has completed advanced training in EMDR. Pacifica Counselling and Consulting Services has contracted to provide clinical supervision, training for teachers, agency staff, and foster parents on the effects of trauma and attachment disorder, ethics, and social responsibility. Hazel has worked as a School Psychologist and Learning Specialist and has provided educational consult and assessment for students in independent First Nations schools, school districts in B.C. and Yukon schools. With a firm belief in the resilience of human beings, Hazel has worked in various Corrections settings as a teacher and counsellor and provides counselling services to victims of crime and violence.
