Throughout the years, the centre continued to expand to include kindergarten, nursery and preschool children. HomeThirty-five years ago a small group of people from Bethel Mennonite Church had a vision of opening up a daycare to reach out to the surrounding community. This vision became Carter Day Care Centre and first operated out of the Bethel Church Parsonage. In 1992 the centre moved to the current location in the lower level of the church.Carter is open from Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 6:00pm all year round. The children that attend our centre are ages 2- 6. We serve 36 families made up from the surrounding community and Bethel Church.Our mission is to provide a safe, warm and loving place where children can grow and thrive in all physical, emotional, social areas. It is through indoor and outdoor play, circle time, singing, and many activities that we try and accomplish this mission. To support this mission and our everyday activities, the centre changed the name to Carter Early Learning Centre, Inc. in July 2010.Carter Early Learning Centre is an inclusive centre and we provide care for families with different physical and emotional needs.
