Polypak first opened in Vancouver in 1976 in a small office on Hastings and Cambie. Although we weren't the only packaging company in Vancouver, we were the first to focus on quality custom packaging for retail companies. Within a short time, we established ourselves as one of the major packaging companies in Western Canada. Some of our customers included retail giants such as Woodward's, Eaton’s, Superstore and IKEA.
Since retail companies needed more than just poly bags, we expanded our product range to include paper bags, reusable bags, boxes, tins, tissue, ribbon, labels and gift wrap. We also created new products such as ski coveralls, poly auto insurance pouches and dental lab ziplock bags with a separate pocket for prescriptions.
