Modern medicine has excelled in the fields of infectious disease and emergencies in the last 100 years. Although, in the treatments of chronic and degenerative diseases, it is mostly control that it aims for, which is another name for palliation. Conventional drugs, surgery and radiation do little to reverse the disease.
