Mike has done extensive work on our property. We live on half an acre consisting of three levels. Our first project was the driveway. It had never been properly developed and was dangerously sloping in two directions. It provided a safe parking spot for one vehicle. Mike brought the level of the driveway up and decreased the dangerous angles. He also leveled ground on the side of the house and created a rock wall to hold up and keep safe a long row of cedar hedging.
When the project was finished, he had created an area large and level enough to park our fifth wheel and outside parking for two vehicles and a small trailer in addition to being able to safely park in front of the garage. There was also space enough to erect a storage shed. During this phase, Mike changed the shape of our front rock garden to provide access to the front lawn and beautifully reconstructed the flower beds.
The second phase included providing drainage in the back yard that was always wet, and a complete rebuild of the back gardens. Mike brought in tons of rock and created 100 feet of rock wall behind which the entire back garden was re-built and created stone steps to safely access the top part of our back yard.
The third project involved widening the bottom of the driveway to make it easier to maneuver the fifth wheel, the removal of a huge area of blackberry canes and new ditching across the front of the property. Mike constructed a dry river bed with boulders and run off from the hill behind us now meanders through the ‘creek’ across the front of the property and disappears under the road. He added rock to the front flower beds for easier access and safety.
Mike is very personable, extremely creative and hard working, and has the ability to ‘see’ the finished project before he begins work on it. He was always on time, on budget and his honesty and enthusiasm are refreshing.
