Sometimes, the waters in life can get a little rough -- and navigating stressors or change can have you feeling a little out of your depth. Call for collaborative counselling support that can help you get back on course, and stay the course. I offer counselling for adults, older adolescents, and couples that keeps you at the helm of your own ship. You decide the destination and bring onboard a good co-navigator. It's your journey and I'd be honoured to be invited on deck. Together, we'll develop some new coping strategies, additional options, out-of-the-box ideas, different skillsets. Or perhaps you'd just like a sounding board or someone to check in with from time to time -- whatever it is, my belief is that the problem is the problem, and we'll focus on solutions. It's time to leave the safety of the shoreline . . . time to sail. Call today for supports.
Choose change. Make waves.

Most of us will experience some kind of challenge/conflict, change, loss, or just feeling stuck and off balance at some point in our life and in our relationships. Counselling can help you work through and resolve what you are struggling with, learn more tools and strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your partner, or your life. Working through issues and finding a healthy balance allows you to feel better about yourself and more energized. Couples counselling can help you and your partner improve not only your communication and resolve issues, but improve the quality of and enrich your relationship.
Most people would like to change something about their lives. The ability to change is within each of us, however, we do not always make the changes we want, or even know where, or how to begin. Both pros and cons to making the desired change likely exist, and these competing ideas can often serve to keep us "stuck. To make matters worse, making a change typically means giving something up, and when we give something up, we replace it with something new, usually the unknown. Confronting the unknown often produces feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. Many people resist change, despite the desire to change, because they feel very uncomfortable when they cannot predict their own feelings, responses, or what might happen in the future because of this change. Fear of the unknown can then become another obstacle to change. The process is difficult, and change is never easy, or we would be doing it already!
