Mariann Home is a non-profit long term care facility run as a registered charity. It is multicultural and is operated by Roman Catholic sisters. We are licensed to accommodate 64 nursing home care residents. There are 63 designated as long term care. Mariann Home is located in a 3 story building with offices on the ground floor. Dining rooms are located on the main floor and third floor. The Director of Nurses office is located on the second floor. Lounges are available for residents and visitors on all three floors. It is a smoke-free building. Dietary, laundry, recreation, an auditorium and hair salon are located on the lower level. Mariann Home is part of the Ontario Health Care delivery system. Activities in Mariann Home are ongoing. Regular events include social tea two mornings per week; Thursday is movie night; crafts occur on Tuesday mornings. Outings to the mall and other places are also provided. Daily mass for all who wish to attend is available.
Southlake offers almost 400 patient beds and accommodates more than 90,000 visits to the Emergency Department, 22,000 in-patient admissions, and 600,000 out-patient visits each year. The Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor has four floors in an 'H' configuration that creates two courtyards, each facing one of the two streets (Millwood and Davisville). The first floor consists of the administrative and support services. The second floor provides secure accommodations for residents with significant cognitive impairment. Residents on this floor have access to the secure outdoor garden. The third and fourth floors provide ccommodation for residents who have access to outdoor balconies on each floor.
