The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario serving students within a 2,760 sq km area. We have a vibrant, enthusiastic learning community that benefits from a wide range of programs that promote excellence & meet individual needs. All of our schools are learning communities where our staff support & challenge students to achieve their best in academics, the arts, athletics & technology. Students requiring specialized programming, both elementary and secondary, have many supports in place to ensure their academic success. Our elementary schools provide English with Core French, Early French Immersion (EFI) & Middle French Immersion (MFI), which are delivered in single, dual &triple-track schools. Six schools offer the Alternative Elementary Program. Our secondary schools offer a wide variety of programs including French Immersion, Extended French, International Baccalaureate, International Certificate Program, Arts & High-performance Athlete.
We provide a safe learning environment for our students when we treat everyone in our community with dignity and respect, and when we listen to their voices on issues of common concern.
Safety is the first condition for learning and for inclusion. Educators strive to structure safety for students on all levels: physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual.
