Emerge Ag Solutions was formed in Eston, Saskatchewan on August 7th 2012. Although, this was not the start of a new business but was the rebranding of an existing, established crop supply retail. Prior to August 2012 Emerge Ag Solutions operated under the identity of Eston Farm Chemicals Ltd. EFC was started in the early 1980's by the local ESSO dealer and a farmer in the community; the business consisted of a small chemical shed and later a fertilizer plant that could service the growers in the area. In 1994 Rob Owens began working at EFC as an agronomist and soon after became a partner in the business in 1995. After continuing to work and grow the business Rob eventually obtained sole proprietorship in 2005. Throughout Rob's time at EFC farm sizes began to rapidly grow and so did the business. It was in 2007 the business moved its location just west of Eston to a much larger facility that brought forth many new and exciting opportunities for the company and its customers. In 2012 Rob's son Matthew became a partner in the business and the two of them took the initiative to rebrand the company to have it portray a description of what is important to the customers.
