Beautiful mature gardens and patios surround the communities and welcome an afternoon stroll or some tea and a chat in the sun.
The Roost Farm Centre is home to a unique bakery, garden Market and gift shop. The Roost is located on Highland House Farm, a 10 acre hobby farm located at the corner of McTavish and East Saanich Roads, in North Saanich BC. The bakery serves up farm fresh breakfast, hearty soups and sandwiches, salads, quiche, breads, pies and other sweet treats. We also serve thin crust pizza from our wood fired pizza oven! We are one of the only places in Canada that grows and mills our own wheat on site for use in our bread and baked goods. Our garden market features locally grown poultry, bison, duck, produce and locally made cheeses.
I have been to the Roost for lunch many times. It's just like a picnic. Their sandwiches are terrific, the bread is fresh, the soup is delicious and homemade. Read more
