To house the collection, he dismantled an 1855 log house, originally built by the White family in Lanark County, and moved it to Princess Street in Kingston, Ontario. There it operated as a privately?owned museum for over a decade.In the early eighties, it was bought by the former Pittsburgh Township and once again, the log house was moved to its present location at Grass Creek Park. Our early beginnings of relocating trees with a single tree spade has evolved to now include a complete range of the most progressive tree moving equipment available. Our tree spades sizes 38" through 90" are capable of digging and relocating trees up to 9" caliper size, including evergreens up to 600 cm (20 feet) tall.
We have always taken much pride in personally selecting and sourcing the finest quality seedlings and liners to grow and develop at our 55 acre farm at Carsonby. This allows us to offer a wide selection of the finest locally grown trees already proven hardy for our severe Ottawa valley winters.
