This store opened recently as part of the revitalization of the area south of the Cambie Bridge. This is an interesting concept for the store that brought us the sprawling big box stores of the 'burbs that we have come to know and love. This store is on 1.5 levels on a smaller footprint and offers almost anything you can imagine for the do-it-yourself-er in an urban setting. In fact its the "almost" in the previous statement that costs this store a 5. It is true that they offer almost anything but if you want to do any larger projects involving copious amounts of lumber, landscaping stone, plants, soils and other landscaping materials you will still need to visit one of the big stores. All that aside, if you are looking for anything else this is a great store to hit, particularly given their location. My child and I particularly enjoy the monthly (every second Saturday) children's workshops where the kids get to build a fun, wood-based project. Afterward there are a myriad of options to pursue such as a walk at the sea-wall around False Creek or a hot chocolate at Starbucks. Check it out next time you're in the area and you will leave impressed!

FVTS did a fantastic job with the work on our property. Their team was professional, efficient, and left everything tidy. They trimmed a large maple tree away from the roof with care, removed a ginkgo tree and cut the stump as low as possible, trimmed several cedars, and pruned a cherry tree to allow more light into the garden beds. Kuldip and his crew did a great job of remaking our very challenging hillside yard, replacing retaining walls, the fence and building raised flower beds and a gate and arbor. They were hardworking, patient and professional and came up with some excellent solutions to some tricky problems.
