The aquaculture industry in Newfoundland and Labrador is changing rapidly, and growing steadily.There is cause for excitement because of the opportunity this industry represents for our Province, especially as a means to support rural economic renewal.There are currently four species farmed sustainably in Newfoundland and Labrador: Blue mussels, Atlantic salmon, Steelhead trout and Atlantic cod. Our sites employ the latest technologies from around the world and our companies are committed to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. NAIA works closely with the many community, regional and national development and regulatory agencies to foster an atmosphere of positive growth of the aquaculture industry for all residences of this province.
The Sorensen School of Dance was founded in January 1986 by Kim Sorensen and since its inception has strived to provide an inviting atmosphere for students where a strong standard of technical training is encouraged. The studio offers a variety of classes for both the recreational dancer as well as those wishing to pursue a career in dance. The studio boasts a very talented and creative teaching team . As part of our mandate as a dance school we provide our students with a variety of performance opportunities. Some of the highlights include our Christmas production to support local charities, the Downtown Santa Claus Parade, our annual year-end recitals along with a variety of community events. Together we are motivated to provide our dancers with the best dance training we can!
