Our passion for beauty and functionality is evident in our homes. The attention to detail is extensive and visible from the moment you first see our houses.'I want our homes to be an experience that touches your emotions and creates a sense of warmth and comfort! Any street you drive down where the houses have been built by different builders, you will immediately be able to pick out a 'Cleary Home' by their beauty and uniqueness. We will not build 'cookie-cutter' homes'.Presidents MessageToday, 'Pat' Cleary, the youngest of the ten Cleary children, is the President of Cleary Homes and has been at the helm for over 25 years. Pat started as a young boy by following his Dad around the job sites on weekends and during his summer holidays and eventually graduated to a broom and shovel. Pat would go on to apprentice as a carpenter after finishing school. During his training, he worked as a finish carpenter in Western Canada on large mansions, some exceeding 16,000 square feet. 'The woodwork was incredible' explains Pat 'and I learned a great deal about craftsmanship and quality work'

When we began in 1953, for many people who had intellectual (or developmental) disabilities, community living was a dream. It was an objective yet to be realized. Until they finally closed in 2009, some still lived apart in Ontario government institutions. Others were physically in, but had little connection to the community around them - as children, they were in segregated classrooms or in schools far away from the neighborhood children who were their peers; as adults, they were often excluded from opportunities to join the workforce. At all ages, many faced physical and social barriers that kept them from participating in the social and economic world around them.
