Essex Community Services is recognized as a leading community resource identifying needs, coordinating solutions and offering accessible, dynamic programs through multiple access points in the Greater Municipality of Essex.We are a registered charitable organization providing community services to the residents of the Town of Essex and neighbouring municipalities in the County of Essex since 1975. Our agency is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Approximately 100 volunteers participate on committees or assist with direct service each year. Our clients include men, women, children, families, frail elderly, low income individuals of all ages, disabled persons, as well as the unemployed and under-employed.

The camp is well laid out with pool , walking trails and sunning areas . The people there are welcoming and friendly . It's a place worth visiting for the day or you can camp or rent a room for the weekend . We'll be back in the summer for sure .Read more
The ECFA is a member based county affiliate of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, one of Ontario?s general farm organizations. The general purpose of the ECFA is to lobby to improve the economic and social well being of farmers in Essex County, provide members with information on agricultural issues and to increase public awareness of agriculture and the food system. The Essex County Federation also provides educational opportunities such as the annual Farm Hiker Tour every fall. The Essex County Federation of Agriculture supports local farmers by co-ordinating the ''BUY LOCAL'' campaign that includes the pamphlet which highlights producers, products and where consumers can locate them. Supporting your local farmer supports your local economy.

In the early 1960's, Dr. Elmer Butt, a noted Windsor radiologist and equestrian observed horses being used for therapy with physically challenged children in England. He brought the idea back to Windsor with him and in September 1971, Dr. Butt chaired a meeting to form what was to become the Windsor Association of Riding for the Handicapped (W.A.R.H).
