Tender and juicy. 2) the vegetables in tomato sauce was delicious. With that out of the way, here we go. The restaurant needs a refresh. The chairs were wobbly, the table surface and the menus were sticky. The decor are dated. Maybe their food could help me get over that. But nope. The food made it worse. The greek salad. Half a cup of vegetables drizzled with olive oil, a little bit of cheese, and water. Yes, there are quite a bit of water left on the saucer. At least you know they wash the vegetables. In hindsight, i should have save that salad to go with the lamb chops. The calamari. $9 and i'm still looking for the other half of the portion. There are less than 30 pieces of squids there and those are small pieces.

My husband and children decided to head up to Algonquin over the long weekend and passed a beavertails truck on our way into the park. We decided to stop and have a snack and boy was it worth it! Even though it was busy, due to the long weekend traffic, the service was fast, the employees were having a good time and the tails were delicious! If your family ever takes a trip to Algonquin it won’t be complete without a visit to the beavertails truck. 4 thumbs up...as my kids would say! Read more
