We go to the Barley Works on Friday or Saturday nights after nine pm to play trivia. We have samples seveal of their menu offerings and really enjoy the perogies and spinach salad. April is a great bartender and we are never left waiting or wondering if we are being taken care of.
Worth the drive to Waterloo if you like a place to sit and play a bit of interactive trivia. So long as you don't mind that it is mostly a student hangout (and we "old fogies" don't mind at all).

This is the Salon where you can just come in and sit down and have Dan look at your hair and he hears you, he sees you and most importantly he listens. Then, just like that, he delivers the most beautiful natural colour and cut ( if I need a trim I dont feel like I lost all my locks ...in other words a trim is a dusting of your ends if that is all you wish) Dan has an excellent eye for colour/style and seeing what is best for you!! I always get compliments on my hair and thats all Dan Thankyou!!

I enjoyed the fact that I could book my appt online. I got to choose the stylist and the service that I wanted, as well as the date and time. The salon is very clean and organized. Jackie was kind and attentive. It was clear that she is talented and experienced in what she does. She listened to exactly what I wanted and did not go off course as other hairdressers have in my past. The prices are very fair. Definitely a positive experience and I will be returning!

We had a wonderful time watching both the basketball and hockey playoffs. The wings were excellent as always and the pizza, which I tried for the first time was fantastic. Kate the manager made us feel at home. A Waterloo landmark, we love this joint.

Jocelyn's wedding colours were cool neutrals, champagne and black. She was thinking about white or neutral colours for her bridemaid's bouquets as well, until her Mom found Dutch Mill Flower Shop. 'Mom stumbled across her website and since she and my Oma are Dutch, it was only natural that she set up a meeting with Janice for her ideas. Janice was great. The bridesmaids' dresses were champagne with a black lace overlay; based on that Janice suggested and solidified the idea of a colour pop. The deep red roses are classic – they were really sharp and really popped. And so simple, six roses per bouquet.'
