Sturgeon Heights CC is offering a Free Fit Club starting next Tuesday May 13, 6 pm and running weekly if there is interest. This is offered by SHCC and run by local trainers that have offered their services for free to help the community get in shape. Similar to a sample of programs like P90X and some of the more popular exercise programs. There will be sports drinks or other recovery drinks supplied. All will be offered at no cost. Volunteer NetworkNiverville Recreation and Wellness is starting up a new project called the Community Volunteer Network. We are working to bring local organizations and event planners that need volunteers together with people from the community who want to volunteer.We are looking for organizations to register their Call for Volunteers and community people to register as potential volunteers specifically outlining their areas of interest and availability. With the information from organizations and community members, we can begin matching volunteers with potential placements.With this initiative we are is striving to meet three goals: One, is to make it easier for volunteers to find places where they want to give their time and to open the door for people who have thought of volunteering but weren't sure where to go. Two, is to gather together the places in our community that need volunteers. The third goal is to highlight and celebrate the commitment of our community volunteers.

TMHA tryout dates and free skates for East End registered kids will be posted here and emailed out as soon as we have finalized the dates and times. TMHA Skills and Conditioning Camps at East EndTMHA has contracted The Rink /GDI Prairies staff to provide instruction for the 2014 Skills and Conditioning Camps and Specialized Individual Skills Sessions. Camps begin next week and there are still some spaces available. Visit the programs page on the TMHA website for more information. Club Access UpdateBeginning today, Melrose Avenue in front of the Club will be closed untill Wednesday, August 27th. The Hall doors will still be open as the main entry point. Vehicles are not permitted to park in the lane next to the Club. Parking is available in the lot off of Pandora Avenue and other surrounding streets. We apologize for the inconvenience but this is part of the process in completing the facility expansion
