Taverna Mercatto is located on Bremner Blvd. in the Southcore (SOCO) area downtown. A fresh take on the Italian tavern, the menu includes pizzas, pastas, apps and mains.

Cafe Diplomatico was first opened in 1968 by Rocco Mastrangelo Sr., shortly thereafter younger brother Paul came on board. The brothers envisioned having a typical Italian bar where Italian nationals could gather in the morning over coffee. At a time in Toronto when outdoor dining was almost unheard of, the sunny patio quickly caught on and now almost 4 decades later what started out as an innovation in the neighborhood has now set the standard. Over the years the popularity of the Diplomatico has caused the bar to expand into a full restaurant eventually taking over the store next door as well. The dip (as it is affectionately referred to by it's many regulars) has had staying power due to it's versatile & reasonably priced menu paired with it's comfortable & unpretentious atmosphere. Approaching 5 decades the restaurant is still owned by the Mastrangelo family, younger brother Paul now runs it with Rocco Mastrangelo Jr.

Woods is proudly Canadian. We focus on using home-grown, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients, and source from local providers: sockeye salmon from British Columbia, bison from Alberta, lobster from Nova Scotia, and dairy products from Ontario. We are the only restaurant to seed and grow fresh lettuce and sprouts (in our main dining room, to be exact) and we serve only Ocean-Wise certified seafood. Our wine list showcases primarily VQA wines, including selections from B.C., and we feature Canadian rye in many of our creative cocktails. Canadian artists dominate our music playlists to enhance your experience at Woods. These elements set us apart in achieving a unique yet authentic Canadian experience; one that we are proud for our guests to be a part of.
