The Village of Arden is a utopian, single-tax community noted for its arts, crafts, and theater. It has a town-meeting form of government. Half the land is forests and greens, which are not taxed. A 'Tree City USA', our tree canopy is 73%. Founded in 1900, the village is on the National Register of Historic Places. Arden is one of three villages known as The Ardens: Arden, Ardentown, and Ardencroft. Each has a separate government.
