Burgoo came to life because we believe everyone needs a little comfort and a place to enjoy some great comfort food. No matter what the season is, a tiny bit of comfort can go a long way to making someone's day more satisfying. We felt that creating an old-world, countryside ambience in our locations - through earth tones, natural finishes and materials - would harken back to a simpler time. We hope we've achieved that in some small way and trust that all those who come here experience Burgoo's essence.
What a wonderful place for lunch this past weekend! We sat on the small, yet sunny patio out front and loved it. The Gooey Cheese Griller sandwich, the vegetarian sandwich, the spinach salad and french onion soup were wonderful. So yummy! And on Saturday's sangria pitchers are on special...and they were good! Not too juice tasting/sweet like most other places.
The only downfall I would say is the bathroom - it was not very clean and wasn't a great way to end lunch!
Overall love the food, great service, fun place!Read more

Fraserview Golf Course offers an old course feeling in a West Coast setting. Overlooking the Fraser River, this well-maintained, traditional-style course offers topographical changes along majestic, tree-lined fairways.
Okay, I realize that there are not a tonne of public, and for that matter private, courses in the city but you could easily include any of the courses in the 'burbs and still call this the best course. Fraserview was once considered for the PGA tour and would have been used had the city let them lengthen a couple of holes. Oh well, perhaps this keeps this gem of a course a little less busy. Perched high up from the Fraser River you would never know you are smack dab in the middle of a major residential area of the city of Vancouver. Challenging and beautiful this course has another major thing going for it...the green fees. They are so reasonable it is shocking and particularly if you are playing with a junior the rates are very reasonable. The clubhouse is also excellent and offers a wide variety of food and drinks that you can enjoy on the patio while watching players come home on 18...for my money the most challenging hole on the course...but that may be because I lose a ball in the ravine every time I play there! If you are a golfer you HAVE to play Fraserview.Read more
