Dr. Penny has been in full time naturopathic practice for over 20 years. She delights in public speaking and has shared her expertise and experience at both naturopathic and western medical colleges, as well as in various TV and radio shows and magazines. Dr. Penny is a member in good standing of the CNPBC and a member of the BCNA and CAND. She is active in her profession, having sat on the board of the CNPBC, the college that regulates the naturopathic profession in BC. She has received awards both for her “Outstanding Contribution Towards Advancing Naturopathic Medicine” in 2004 for chairing the Bylaws Committee and in 2013 for her “Outstanding Committee Contribution” on the Inquiries Committee. Her passion is enabling people to become well enough that they no longer need her services.

I offer counselling to individuals, couples and families, including adults and youth. I am a registered clinical social worker and have been in practice for over 30 years. I can assist you with relationship and family issues; parenting; helpful approaches to managing stress and anxiety; overcoming depression; recovery from eating disorders and addictions, trauma-based guilt and shame, self-esteem, peer issues, life transitions, and changing self-defeating behaviours through mindfulness approaches. I have a special interest in assisting families undergoing the painful process of separation and divorce, including individual adults as well as youth. I bring a rich background of knowledge and experience, as well as a strong belief that we have everything we need in our being to shift our view of who we are and how we live our daily lives.
